Court information and records
Professional oversight
Judicial conduct
The Commission on Judicial Performance complaint guide explains its jurisdiction and requested facts. A legal error alone is not judicial misconduct. The guide describes a separate initial process for complaints about court commissioners and referees. Read the agency's current instructions before submitting anything.
Attorneys
The State Bar complaint and alternatives guide distinguishes disciplinary complaints from fee disputes and other attorney concerns. The State Bar cannot reverse a court decision or act as your lawyer. Its guide asks for specific facts and supporting documents.
Therapists and court-connected roles
The Board of Behavioral Sciences consumer guide explains complaint information. Review its family court jurisdiction flyer before assuming a court-connected role falls within its authority. A professional's license and their role in a particular proceeding are separate questions.
Supervised visitation
Read the Judicial Council's Standard 5.20 for the official standards concerning supervised visitation. Check the current text and the particular court order with an independently retained professional.
Keep review channels separate.A public account, a disciplinary complaint, and a request to change a court order serve different purposes. A complaint is an allegation, not a finding. Do not assume posting here or contacting an agency changes an order or protects a court deadline.
